I had stopped renting from National due to an incident in the past. I was given a mechanically unsafe vehicle at Las Vegas. At Boston, I was given another vehicle that was mechanically unsafe. Too many miles without proper maintenance.

Our experience renting from National was everything we needed in renting a car for 5 days. I especially liked the ability to go straight to the selection of cars in the garage. The only negative aspect was the long wait in getting out of the garage at Logan airport. I think that a newish employee was left on her own and got stuck with a problem with one customer. As a result, the cars backed up so it took 20ish minutes to get out of the garage. Other than that it was a very good experience. Thanks! Kathe
Getting the car was easy that is why I gave it one star. Upon returning the car they charged us for 2,000 yes two thousand extra miles on the car which by the time you add in all the taxes it was an extra $523!! We have called customer service the past 2 days and they send a message to the local rental for them to contact us. Nothing!! We cannot get them to call us to get this corrected. We rented national for our vacation trip in Nova Scotia The person we rented from on 8/16 was very helpful and he upgraded our car which had a gps that made our trip so enjoyable Then we were headed home but got stranded in Boston due to hurricane Harvey We continued to get cancelled by the airline company trying to return home to Houston We decided to rent a car and the Boston airport person was extremely helpful to get us a car the same model that we rented in NS at a reduced rate and waved the gas charge I hope he is note... read more
Recent trip to Boston area was excellent. Picked up the vehicle (Emerald Aisle) at Boston Logan and returned it to Providence, RI Green (PVD) with no issues. It was only $15 more to return it to a different airport. Customer Service at both ends was simple, friendly and efficient.
