I am a veteran of 20 years. Went in to buy used car on the premise that I had a pre-approved loan with Navy Federal. They accepted my pre-approval letter, so I went in. Paid over 50% of vehicle price out of pocket, with $11k left to be paid upon receipt of my pre-approval check incoming from NavyFed. Original saleslady was super nice and helpful, but when pulled into office to sign final paperwork, they said I couldn't drive away unless I sign a contingent loan which would be nulled upon receipt of my check from NavyFed. Bait and switch! Run as fast as you can away from this shady dealer. We drove an hour after over 10 emails back and forth with internet manager only to be given a test drive in the used car we had communicated about and then be told that the car had a deposit on it and we couldn’t buy it. We were told after the fact we could put a deposit on it to hold it but by that point someone had already done so even though I had asked in my email if they could hold it previously. Sean helped us get in and out with a trade for a beautiful 2020 cx9! What I didn't know at the time is that I was lied to about the check I would get back for my traded CX-9. I had made my payment 3 days before I traded my lease. I was told I had to do the first payment for the new lease, but not to worry because I would get my payment from 3 days prior returned. I bought a pre owned Mazda in June 2020. "MJ" thought he was the thing since he liked to link himself to The Michael Jordan. First he would not be bothered to go on a test drive. Then as we talked about wear and tear on the car he told me the brakes were at 50%. A few weeks after I owned the car I heard grinding, two months later I have 20% front brakes and 15% back brakes.
