I have requested for my information to be permanently removed 3 times. I just made a fourth request. They remove it and then it appears again. This time with false information about arrest records. This is defamatory and libel. How can this organization continue to exist after class action lawsuits and being sued by the FTC?
This company is making money off selling your personal information, but it is not a background check. After reaching out to have my personal information removed they sent me directions to make payment to create an account (which is extortion) and as far as I saw on their site, owning a profile still does not allow you to remove your account. I will be reaching out to my district attorney soon. I would have left zero starts but the lowest limit is 1 star, which they do not deserve.
I clicked "Do not renew" a few days later my credit card was charged for renewal. This company is a scam. Do not trust them with your credit card information. I have called the company, the woman I spoke to said my money would be refunded, waiting to see if that actually happens. Either way, they took my money after I said not to renew.
This company is supposedly made to help your reputation... But I never signed to be representing by others. The information is completely wrong. Stating that I knew all these people and that I was currently married which is not true at all causing my current relationship to be on the rocks. Why report things that aren't true. Such a fraud.
What do I think? Out of courtesy for others I will use civilized language. It is such a scam. The first mistake I made was linking onto their website. The second mistake I made was falling for their "information" about me and about how poor my reputation was based upon their findings of me. It would seem that my information was mixed in with another person with my name (funny that) that had, let us just say, a rather "sketchy", reputation. I "supposedly" had jumped bail, had wreckless driving offencess, and made heck of a lo... read more
These people are a bunch of libelous scammers and thieves. I searched my name this morning just because their site came up and I was bored. They tell me I have a reputation score of 2.12 out of 5 because according to them I have 18 court/arrest and bankruptcy records. I HAVE NEITHER! Clicked on the link to correct errors. They will "consider" changing errors if I pay them $131. to become a premium member. How can this be legal. Spreading lies about you, then charging you money to maybe take the false information off. This is... read more
Ridiculous business practice. MyLife aggregates information about you from "public" records. There isn't anything that taints my reputation on my MyLife profile, I just don't like that it exists when I haven't signed up to be part of their service. You only have control over the content of your profile if you sign up; however, I don't agree to their Privacy Policy, and so I don't want to become a member. The Privacy Policy and User Terms become a compulsory contract for those who are trying to control the content on their My... read more
MyLife.com should be taken down permanently and the owners should be fined or arrested for posting misleading information. When trying to get my name off of their site (I have never even subscribed to the site or given them personal information) they emailed me with steps to remove my information from their site. The help link was dead and in order to remove my information, I would have to pay to become a subscriber. This site is a scam and guilty of libel. I am a teacher and should not have my character defamed with informa... read more
Complete scam. Checked for free and the only thing correct was my name. Everything else was completely wrong. I did not pay this company anything since I realized all the information was incorrect. They need to be sued and the website needs to be taken down, because anyone searching will unknowingly find false information.
