With only two events going on at once, the organization of lines, signs, and directions weren't a strong point. We even had to walk to the other side of the building when they moved our line. The food was pricey giving a lesson in eating before you leave ($4 for a can of sprite). The sound engineer could use some more practice on handling live microphone audio and feedback. The sound was terrible. I was very sad the sound was so poor for an artist so great.
Went June 10 for the 8 pm Markiplier's You're Welcome tour with my teen daughter. The show was great. I ordered seats & parking online. Coming from two hours away, reserved parking was a great option. The venue was very nice. Interior staff was wonderful. Pricing was reasonable. Slightly disappointed that the Egyptian room was flat floored, not auditorium. I am tall & had a difficult time seeing everything. Abysmal security at entry, very slow to the point of missing the opening band and the first 3.5 songs of Elvis Costello despite staff assurances that they were holding the show! We arrived at 7:20 for a 7:30 start with reserve seats. Never in my 45+ years of attending concerts have I been greeted by 3 lines a block and a half long. We went to see Elvis Costello 6/10. There was another event going on as well. The staff at Old National was not prepared appropriately for the events. We arrived and got in line. 30 minutes before the show. An hour later we were still standing in a line outside. By the time we finally got in we had missed the first part of the concert. I feel sorry for all the people in the long line behind us that has to have missed at least a third of the show by the time they got in. We did not arrive late or last minute. Excellent cozy venue! They have multiple sized rooms perfect for different atmospheres.
I have been here many times for comedy shows but this is my first concert at Old National, formally called The Murat. The Murat Theater room/venue has seating like a old fashioned theater with balcony. Seating is comfortable especially for comedy shows, were everyone remains seated. They also have the Egyptian Room/venue, this has moving chairs, one time they had lawn chairs, which were not comfortable. The Egytian room is better for concerts, were you might stand more. Like others have commented. Tickets said 7:30. I thought we got there plenty early, but it took forever to get through security. The show was good, but the sound was very poor. Also spent the whole show, once we got in, with the people in the row behind us talking non-stop.
