Ain't nobody Got Time for That!!! Don't ever go to these Scalp Scrapers! OMG, I went to get Senegalese Twist for my birthday two weeks ago (1/13/13). Now, my hair is soft and natural and I have never had an issue with getting it braided and maintaining it for 2 - 3 months; however the person that did my hair did my hair so damn tight I could barely blink and within 4 days I had scalp sores and 9 of my braids had come out. So I called to have them replaced and lucky me!!!! I got the same lady. So in order to keep the braids i... read more
Mrs. Beautiful Hair First let me say I do not normally write reviews, which is a shame since it was the reviews that brought me to the salon. My hair is beautiful. I have received several compliments and have been ask where did I get my hair done at. I love to look nice and beautiful so my hair has to be looking nice at all times, and since I decided to give weave a rest and go with micros I wanted the best of the best to do it, which is why I traveled so far. I must admit they did a great job! I have only one complaint and ... read more
Such an Excellent job done!!! I was refer to this shop by a coworker of mine , her braids always look fabulous so i decided to go give them a try,and i must confess, that is the reason why my coworker always return to this shop, and i am now also going to be their client for life. when i got there Muki helped me with my questions she was very proffessional and patientwith me and my long questions, and then finally i settled with fluffy twist, and they were just the way i like them, many shops dont use the right kind of hair ... read more
Disappointed... I came here the Friday before Thanksgiving for fluffy twists...I took them out this past Saturday, so that's 3 weeks BARELY. This was the most disappointing braid style ever!!! First of all, the braids "shed" hair the whole time I had them in and 10 or more braids "slipped" out. $200.00 DOWN THE DRAIN!!! I wouldn't recommend this style and I also question the true skills of the braiders at this salon.
Good service I was pleased with the outcome of my style which was the fluffy twists. I thought it was completed in a timely manner. The only thing I would have asked would have been for to brush off all the hair that was one me after it was done because there was SO MUCH hair ( hair from the hair that was braided into my hair) on me afterwards. But that's not that big of a deal as I was able to brush it off myself. But good service overall though. They also did consult with me in terms of the style that I wanted so I knew ex... read more
patience is the key i've been going to muki's for some times now. at muki's they're good at what they do, reason why they're always so busy which it's why i always wait to get my hair done. by the way, i do not wait just because i don't have other alternatives, but i do so because i know that at the end i'll get what i came for. we can't blame them for being good and solicited; we just have to be patient.
Appointments are POINTLESS!! I had never been to Muki's braiding salon before, but after seeing the video on YouTube, I thought I would give it a shot. But, upon arriving at my 1:00pm appt, no one was available to start servicing me. They had me sit for 45 minutes, before I finally spoke up and asked when would someone be starting on me? One of the stylist told me they would start in 5 minutes with my hair, which I knew was a bold face lie because the client's hair wasn't close to being finished sitting in her chair. But, tr... read more
my looks means alot to me I have been going to Muki's for about a year now and my looks is very important to me so i found them online and i have been going there since, because they have patience . I guess what you have to do is let them know what you want and what you dont, for instance one time a braider wanted to use holding spritz on my hair i told hair not to because i am allergic to alcohol she use use mouse instead. But over all their services is very good once you tell them what you want.
Irritated I went to this braid shop right before Christmas to get micro braids. I brought my own hair & glad to have done that because there was another young lady who didn't & the hair provided was hideous. As for my hair, I paid $200 & gave this woman a tip for braids that were too big. Furthermore, she used nail glue on the braids which did not break it out, but who still uses nail glue to do micro braids! All in all it is less than a good monthl later & I am taking these things out to have them done over again by real pr... read more
