Misleading Response Believe me, when my friend left Mukis she was not happy. . . not happy at all. The response from the salon owner/employee said that her hair was fixed. Where? You put a bandage on her hair. Really what you did was curled the ends of her hair because when she came over to my house, I told her that she looked TERRIBLE! Your employees left the ends of her hair frazzled and uneven and handled her unprofessionally. Even after you had someone curl the ends, she still missed a bunch of the braided fluffly twist ... read more

Ms. I will never return to this shop. I got my hair done Tuesday of this week because I wanted fluffly twist. Since I have had them several times before, I know how they should look. There were two people working on my hair - one in the front and one in the back. The one that was working in the back gave me cornrolls and the one in the front gave me Fluffy twist. I went back to the shop today, Saturday, January 22, 2011 to inform Muki that I have two different styles in my head, and she attempted to inform me that this is th... read more

Best Braid Shop in the DC Area!!! My experience with Muki's Braiding started a few days before I actually got my hair done....I was sitting in another braid shop, looking over a few braid magazines, trying to figure out what style I wanted. In the magazines, I kept seeing styles from Muki's Hair Braiding. So I went home, got on-line and checked out her website. Fast forward, and a few days later, I ended up at Muki's, the place where I was meant to be! Muki, herself, did my hair and she hooked it up! When it comes to my hair... read more

Never again I went to this shop for the first and last time. First, I looked through the book and chose a style. The braids were much bigger than what I requested. I look like Medusa!! On top of that the lady was soooo slow. When I asked the girl why my twists were so big she replied that the twists were the same size as the picture. Then the owner claimed that this type of hair only came in one size when I watched the lady separate the hair to the size she desired. Then the stylist chimed "her hair is thick that's why." I'v... read more
