Ain't nobody Got Time for That!!! Don't ever go to these Scalp Scrapers! OMG, I went to get Senegalese Twist for my birthday two weeks ago (1/13/13). Now, my hair is soft and natural and I have never had an issue with getting it braided and maintaining it for 2 - 3 months; however the person that did my hair did my hair so damn tight I could barely blink and within 4 days I had scalp sores and 9 of my braids had come out. I had my braids done for free Muki's thank you for the free hair style ,it is true,we wentt to muki's because we heard about their promotion of free hair style contest, we got there and waited until they got ten clients at a sitting then row little ballot papers for us to pick and fortunately i picked the winning ticket and got my individual braids done for free. Good service I was pleased with the outcome of my style which was the fluffy twists. I thought it was completed in a timely manner. The only thing I would have asked would have been for to brush off all the hair that was one me after it was done because there was SO MUCH hair ( hair from the hair that was braided into my hair) on me afterwards. WHAT A WASTE!! IN MY OPINION . . . Poorly Managed!! Therefore: Poor Customer Service Over-Priced Atrocious Atmosphere Rude Owner Loud Kids Loud Music Loud Television Uncomfortable Seating Absolutely horrendous experience!! This shop should be closed down - FOR GOOD!! There are no listed prices for a reason, as the price always changes. Mukis African Braiding is NOT GOOD I went to this business with high expectations.They have pretty pictures of great styles.I chose one. I printed out the style, which is also on the window of the shop, and sat patiently for 5 hours as the girl braided my hair, and listened to the screaming women & Paytom Place swirling around me in that shop,never once did I look in the mirror...my bad.Before she was finished the girl asked for the payment. $200.I had printed out the $20 coupon so I paid $180.Once finished I looked in the m... read more
We love your shop We love your shop ,i know i am not from here but i have been to many shops and believe me i was impressed with the level of service that i recieved. Muki and another young lady did my hair in sis twist and another hair stylist did my daughter's hair ,we both love our hair,They were very friendly and we watch some African movies, they just made us feel at home.we would surely be back. keep up the good job. Just Okay I went to Muki's today to get kinky twists. Luckily, they had 3 women working on my hair, so it only took about 3 hours, but the twists we larger than I expected so maybe that's also why it went so quickly. The braids do look neat. The women we nice, asked me often if I was okay and if the braids were too tight, but I had to sit doing nothing when some guy came in hawking Obama sweatsuits, and all the braiders took their time deciding who wanted what and negotiating price. Best Braid Shop in the DC Area!!! My experience with Muki's Braiding started a few days before I actually got my hair done....I was sitting in another braid shop, looking over a few braid magazines, trying to figure out what style I wanted.
