Mukis African Braiding is NOT GOOD I went to this business with high expectations.They have pretty pictures of great styles.I chose one. I printed out the style, which is also on the window of the shop, and sat patiently for 5 hours as the girl braided my hair, and listened to the screaming women & Paytom Place swirling around me in that shop,never once did I look in the mirror...my bad.Before she was finished the girl asked for the payment. $200.I had printed out the $20 coupon so I paid $180.Once finished I looked in the m... read more
Mukis African Braiding is Most Excellent I've been going to Muki's since they opened (my picture is even on the wall) and have always been totally satisfied with the results. Muki is a professional business women and I appreciate her. I highly recommend this shop and my only suggestion to future clients would be for you to find a picture of the style, size and length you want your hair, that way there will be no misunderstandings and your expectations will be met.
will keep coming back... This year I have been to Mukis African braiding twice. Each time for single braids. The stylists are professional and they listen and provided me with the exact style I asked for. I highly recommend the service. They have tons of pictures and will work with you to make sure you are happy with our style. The key is communication. Make sure you let them know what it is you want and they will provide.
Just Okay I went to Muki's today to get kinky twists. Luckily, they had 3 women working on my hair, so it only took about 3 hours, but the twists we larger than I expected so maybe that's also why it went so quickly. The braids do look neat. The women we nice, asked me often if I was okay and if the braids were too tight, but I had to sit doing nothing when some guy came in hawking Obama sweatsuits, and all the braiders took their time deciding who wanted what and negotiating price. THE BEST BRAIDING SALON OUT THERE!!! I love Muki's Hair Brading, I have been a faithful customer going to Muki and the girls for a little over 2 years. My expectations were always meet and they specialize in almost any hairstyle you can think of. The price is always right and I highly recommend them to anyone who admires my hair, when I leave the shop I know I look the good. Thanks Muki and the girls, you all are the greatest. !

Hair Cut I went to get my hair done (Fluffy Twist) the day before Easter Sunday (March 22, 2008) and a few days later (March 25, 2008) my mother noticed that some of my hair was sticking out and it look like my hair had been cut. I took that one individual hair piece out and saw that about 2 and a half inches of my own hair had been cut. The owner did give me a full refund, however the individual that did my hair didn't even apologize.
Decent work, but inappropriate I took my two young daughters in to get their hair braided (upon recommendation from a neighbor). Their hair was braided professionally, but they did not do child-appropriate styles, as they had promised. The braids they put in were more appropriate for someone in their late teens or early twenties, not for girls under thirteen.
