We have used the Red Buddy for a total of 4 nights since purchasing it. We also purchased the extension hose and filer as we run the heater in our RTT and keep the tank in the truck bed. It goes out after 2/3 minutes. Won’t stay lit. I’ve tried calling numerous times and cannot get anyone to help. This was THE recommended unit on all of the forums and circles. I am very disappointed in the performance and then lack of customer service!
Bought this heater last year, used it like twice during deer season. I turned it on yesterday in my garage for 10 minutes. I went inside to change my clothes and come out to my garage full of smoke. The heater literally caught fire and melted itself. This could’ve burnt my house! My garage still smells like burnt plastic. This could’ve ended very very badly.
Very disappointed in Mr Heater Tech Support and Warranty. I have a Big Buddy MH18B that is less than a year old and in warranty. My fan started rattling and then stopped working. After multiple calls and hours of my life wasted nothing. When I received a call back I explained the issue and was told they stopped making the heater with a fan in it and parts are no longer available. I just bought a brand new mr heater at tractor supply and got it home and hooked up it started then this morning I went to turn it on and it won’t stay lit this is a brand new heater and my daughter threw the box out so now I’m out 120 dollars as I can’t take it back and I need this heater cause we lose power in the winter and I have no other source of heat if we lose power waste of money
I got a new propane heater and went to hook it up and the threads were messed up. Called customer service 3 times was on hold for at least 10 minutes a time. l left a message no call back. So im going to take it back to the store and get my money back and go with a different brand. I would not recommend this brand because of poor service.
We have a Mr Heater Buddy, we love it and it keeps us warm in the tent. In fact we used it this weekend for a BSA Cub Family weekend and when the temperature dropped, Buddy came to the rescue to warm us up in the tent. A must for any outdoorsy person!
