We took the house tour, the Mulberry Row slavery lecture and the garden and grounds tour!
American History comes to life here. Jefferson was an enigmatic, genius, innovator, an founding Father of the greatest magnitude.
Tour guide was exceptional! This was my second visit and I learned even more details than first visit. This is a must see!
What impressed me the most was how honored everyone working there was to share the history. Wonderful learning experience.
The $40 behind-the-scene tour was well worth it, although be prepared for it to last 1:45 hours and steep, narrow stairs. But there are a few chairs along the way for rests. The tour includes visits to the upstairs rooms not available on the general tour and interesting anecdotes of visiting family and honored guests.
We enjoyed the grounds, the house tour. Our guide Bill was very knowledgeable. I believe we both learned some new knowledge about Jefferson. Was a great day.
Great tour and staff was all friendly! Definitely don't miss the garden tour. Very interesting to learn about all his experiments with plants.
Very informative staff. Spent 6 hours at location and saw everything. Plan on a full day here.
Loved the tour and experiencing a bit of history! The home is so beautiful...I didn't want to leave. Hope to go back again some day!!!!
