My girlfriend and I loved visiting Thomas Jefferson's estate. We loved that the grounds were dog friendly and how beautiful everything was. We will definitely be coming back.
I really enjoyed the visit to Monticello , I was very inspired by the fact that I was in the same room that our once great leader stood and walked , I leened up against the wall in his study and new he must of done that a hundred times , it was spiritual as well as historically enlighting I enjoyed the 90 min I was there each room with a story , I could feel the house and the many memories it held , go walk in the footsteps of a great man , enjoy
A guy who declaired "all men are equal" while owning slaves is very hypocritical. You seem to of whitewashed this, shame on you and your organisation.
My husband has a severe disability and uses a power wheelchair. The staff were very welcoming, Our visit went smoothly, from the shuttle to the tour through the house. Our guide was knowledgeable and funny and we had an absolutely wonderful time!
So much to see here. It is beautiful and fascinating.
I have visited Monticello several times but this was the first time I had ever done the private tour of the upstairs and the Dome room. Our guide Mr. Dining was superb an extremely knowledgeable man and very entertaining. The tour at Monticello was something special and evan though you may know all there is to know about Thomas Jefferson, this experience will enlighten you. This brings it all to life. Please endure it all expecially the short walk to the family cemetery.
The cry's of my ancestors still haunt the halls of this historical plantation.
This was a fantastic tour, it was fun and had plenty of historical facts. I highly recommend you going if you have the opportunity.
Just wonderful! The staff was smart, cordial, and educational. The stories and tours were great. The grounds superb! Bought a family pass for the year. Can't wait to come back.
