It is an amazing house with so much history. If there had been a 4 1/2 star option that is what I would have chosen. In the winter, the staff works on the restoration of the rooms and furniture, so it was a bit under construction. But the guide and other people who help the visitors were also excellent. Our guide may know the house as well as Jefferson did and he designed it! Very knowledgeable staff and very informative regardless of the number of visits. It is nice to see and hear that the role of slavery at Monticello is becoming a much more prominent part of the entire story. And the view on a clear winter day is beautiful.
Not happy...You said you would be open despite the small amount of snow and closed anyway ..despite me having tickets for today ...Gimme a break plow the road and open up!!!
Amazing location, interesting lifestyle and wonderful area
This was my second visit in the last 3 years. The team there continues to improve the visitor's experience. Extremely knowledgeable staff on the life and times of Thomas Jefferson
Never disappoints even started snowing. Our 6 year old from Florida had never seen snow!
Great Place to visit to get a little History. Fun to see the Nickle Live!!!
We did the holiday tour which gave us additional access to Monticello. Highly recommended. Can't wait to go back during another season.
It was such a pleasure to walk through the house that was once lived in by Thomas Jefferson. The tour was fabulous. I highly recommend paying the extra for the behind the scenes tour!
