Open to the public since 2004, Montana Grizzly Encounter invites you to watch, learn and interact with the grizzlies in a safe environment. Watch as Brutus, Sheena and Bella, the resident bears, bask in the early morning sun, and later visit the gift shop to buy a few souvenirs to remember these grizzlies by.

Excellent information on the history of the bears and how they came to here. Interesting facts on Brown and Black Bears and their differences for the lay person. Funny to watch the bears play, and in awe of the size of a Grizzly bear.
Well, I stopped to donate to the gofundme page for the grizzly enclosure, but it was closed.... But I did speak to a young guy and gave him my donation.... Hopefully the wife and I will be able to make it back in the near future and see Brutus and the other animals.

We loved our visit to the Montana Grizzly Encounter this past June! It was awesome to see Jake and Maggi playing and looking for enrichment treats. Even better was learning about the amazing rescue work done by those running the sanctuary. It makes me so sad to think that these needed rescuing from awful situations but they could not have ended up in a more wonderful place. The staff was very knowledgeable and kind. We really enjoyed our visit and learned a great deal about bears. Bella and Brutus look happy and well cared for.
My husband and I have been on a 48 state tour of the country for our honeymoon. We found Montana Grizzly Encounter on Groupon and we are so glad we did! It was an amazing experience. The bears seem so happy! We really learned a lot by visiting here! We will definitely be suggesting others to this place and eventually we will bring our kids here!
