Open to the public since 2004, Montana Grizzly Encounter invites you to watch, learn and interact with the grizzlies in a safe environment. Watch as Brutus, Sheena and Bella, the resident bears, bask in the early morning sun, and later visit the gift shop to buy a few souvenirs to remember these grizzlies by.

Very informative and fun been around Bears all my life and still learned some stuff I didn't know
With our educational channels turned tabloid, we need honest wildlife education more than ever,
MGE is such a special place. My husband and I started watching Casey and Brutus years ago and finally got to visit last summer. This is an important place and such an important lesson for people.
Coming from Texas I was clueless about Bears, clueless. Today I live in Montana and I hit the back country all the time with knowledge I got from the Montana Grizzly Encounter. I think they save lives every day, they educate visitors about bear safety and how to live with the Bears safely. I suggest the MGE to everyone I know and every single person is impressed and they take bear knowledge with them after their visit and happiness from watching the Bears in a safe environment.
This is the best encounter I have had in my entire life, from meeting all the bears, Jake, Maggie, Bella, Brutus, Sheena, and many of the employees and owners! For someone like myself who loves nothing more than to bear watch all day everyday, this is the best place to let your soul grow. The people who made this place possible and have given their all for the grizzlies are the best! Thank you so much!!!!
I have been lucky enough to visit MGE on more than one occasion and have learned a great deal about grizzly and brown bears from Casey Anderson and Ami Testa. These folks are providing a service to Gallatin County and the City of Bozeman through education to local children, visitors from across the U.S. and international visitors, funds expended by visitors in the Bozeman area and a greater awareness and desire to protect bears in the wild. MGE has my full support!
You couldn't find a better way to.spend time out of your day. Bear safety, bear education, close up time with five different bears and the great people who take care of the bears. I learn something new every time I go. Not to mention the $7 admission is good for TWO DAYS.
Loved, loved, loved my visit!! Brutus was the first bear we saw upon our arrival. We also some of the other bears. So awesome to experience being that close to observe theses magnificent animals. Montana Grizzly Encounter should be at the top of everyone's bucket list.
We love the Grizzly Encounter! We always make a point to stop here when we a in Montana.
