My son has HLHS and has spent more then two months at Vanderbilt(in fact he's there now). We love Vanderbilt. They are amazing. We wouldn't hear of taking him anywhere else. If I could give them 100 stars I would.

The nurses and Dr. Pope that took care of my 2 1/2 year old were amazing, very caring and attentive to my son; however, the ladies at the at the pharmacy were very rude to my husband when he went down there to get our son's prescript. But as long as who took care of my son was great the matters, my husband is a grown man he'll be ok, they just need to learn that this is the century and welcome them to it!!!

Our 3 year old was recently diagnosed with Atypical Tuberculosis. We were set up with an Infectious Disease doctor and an ENT both were absolutely amazing. They were very informative and allowed my husband and I to be part of the decision making process in order to help her heal.

My three day old was rushed here with breathing problems, they were so quick to start antibiotics and run any and every test they could think of to figure out what was wrong and how to treat her. They are good about telling you what's going on, answering your questions and letting you stay around when they are doing things. (Unless they are sterile processes) They let me sleep in the room with my baby girl so I could be by her side. My 8 year old was brought by ambulance because of appendicitis. All of our nurses were amazing but one particular named Laura in PACU completely went above and beyond! She knew my daughter was scared so she took my child's bear and put a hospital gown on it to match her along with an arm band. She then brought her markers and asked her to decorate the sheets on her bed! My daughter was able to get her mind off the scary surgery because Laura took the extra time to help ease her worries! My heart as a mom will forever be grat... read more

My daughter had eye surgery and I was very unhappy I felt like they didn't no how to claim her down after the surgery they let her weak up with out anyone that she knew with her even there nurse or the Tech was the same that is a children hospital but I could tell they knew she was having a very hard time dealing with what just happened to her and it was like they was rushing us out and they didn't even give her time to full weak up and she didn't full weak up to about 3 am I don't think this should have been a in and out su... read more
