If I had more knees, I would come to you again. You did both of my knees and they work fine. People even comment on what straight scars I have.

He did my moms knee replacement and she had no issues, so when I started having issues I did my research and was so impressed with his education as well as his compassion and dedication to help others with his annual Team Hope In motion! I tell friends about him all the time! Plus he always dresses to the nines!
I went to see Dr Berend with moderate to severe knee pain. Dr Berend assessed my knee I had X-rays read that day. Showed no problem went to MRI was discovered water on the knee affected fat pad under the knee cap. No surgery required treatment was a steroid shot and PT The sports medicine office I had been referred to ask me if I was willing to have surgery before getting any other information. Midwest has treated multiple family members and we would not go anywhere else. The best for joint treatment
Had appointment with Dr. Berend on June 4, 2024 to discuss knee replacement surgery. I was promptly greeted at the office in Indianapolis and had x-rays taken. My meeting with Dr. Berend was very informative. He took the time to go over my x-rays and explained the surgical procedure. I felt Dr. Berend had my best interest in mind. I had severe pain in my left knee and was diagnosed with Osteoarthritis. Instead of recommending a more extensive total joint replacement, Dr. Berend offered a new partial knee procedure, enabling more comfort and shorter recovery time.
He’s already done one knee. I’ll get the other one done in a few days. As far as I’m concerned he’s the best in the business. I’m one year out on my first knee replacement. I don’t have any pain. It feels better than it ever has. I’ve referred him to women in the grocery store. A lady at work is having her knee done on the same day June 6. I tell everybody about him. The scar looks amazing. When I needed knee replacement surgery, I believe that Dr. Berend was the best surgeon I could have had.Two years ago, I was experiencing crippling bone-on-bone pain when walking when I heard an enthusiastic review about Dr. Berend from a neighbor. He could walk down the street with a cane barely two weeks after major knee surgery and was thrilled that he would soon be able to play golf again. Dr. Berend is always kind, patient, honest and explains things in a way that you understand. He has done both of my hips and both of my knees and all are working just fine and pain free. As you can see, I trust him implicitly for all m orthopedic needs.
I have been a nurse for 47 years and have never met a more personable doctor. Physician, PA, X-ray technicians, nurses and front desk staff were efficient, professional, and friendly. Best experience I have ever had.
