Dr. Berend and his staff are very efficient and answer your questions in language non-medical people can understand. After surgery rehab exercises are emphasized which makes recovery go smoother. The more work you put in the better the outcome.
I knew when I visited Dr. Michael Berend for my first orthopedic appointment, that if I needed surgery, he was certainly who I wanted. Went for consult appointment 7 years ago. Dr. Berend is brilliant, honest, forthright with information, and truly was a godsend for my arthritic issues. I’ve known and have been treated by him more than six years and, even if an issue became complicated, he came up with an idea that got me through.

Dr. Berend had x-rays taken of my left knee replacement because I was told by several doctors that it had been placed incorrectly and that was causing my intermittent pain after falling three years after getting the TKR.Dr. Berend explained in great detail that I did not need a revision. I am so relieved! He was so very kind, professional, and took all the time that was needed to reassure me I didn’t need a revision!I would recommend him as simply the best!
