In March 2011 "Mi Patria" opened becoming the first and only Ecuadorian restaurant in Des Moines. Owner Cesar Miranda (Ecuadorian) with more than fifteen years of experience in the restaurant business, accomplished his dream by bringing the aromas and flavors of his country to Des Moines. Very delicious. Fresh ingredients with unique flavor. If you are tied of chain restaurants' “common taste”, come here to try something different.
Mediocre service, food was somewhat bland for a Latin American level taste. Doubt I'll return was nothing like other Latin American cuisine I've tried.
Wow! All the great reviews really set the bar high for this place and it definitely lived up to my expectations!! Sooooooo good! Everything we had was fresh, flavorful and fast! You get so much food for the price. The service was great and everyone was friendly. This will now be a go-to spot for me!!

Muy recomendable, todo muy rico, abundante y atendidos de excelente manera!! Fue una cena maravillosa. I would definitely recommend this place to all my friends around Des Moines area. We had a wonderful dinner and everything was delicious and generous!!
