Went with some friends last night, it may have been the best meal I have had all year. Amazing.

After my first bite, the thought of driving 4.5 hours to eat here didn't sound too crazy. Not too spicy, wonderful flavor, huge portions, great staff...we will definitely return.

The food was great. We got the dinner for 2 to try different things and it could have feed 4 people! We also had desert. The flan was alright, but the coconut crusted fried plantains were out of this world (and I don't like coconut!) We will certainly be coming back with our children.

Love Mi Patria! I get the Carne Asada every time with the yellow rice and add a side of the fried ripe plantains. It's one of my favorite meals in Des Moines! Awesome cheese empanadas and ensalada criolla as well!
