In March 2011 "Mi Patria" opened becoming the first and only Ecuadorian restaurant in Des Moines. Owner Cesar Miranda (Ecuadorian) with more than fifteen years of experience in the restaurant business, accomplished his dream by bringing the aromas and flavors of his country to Des Moines. Wonderful!!! Service was excellent as was the food!!! So much food on our plates, we'll be able to make two more meals with the leftovers!!!

Great service. Clean restaurant. I was hesitant to try food outside my comfort zone. So glad we tried this place! Food was delicious. Will definitely be back.
Took my sons to Mi Patria for lunch today. I have a hard time with the menu because I don't understand a lot of it but I've never been disappointed. Wonderful place, helpful staff. The pulled pork meal fed me twice.
