In March 2011 "Mi Patria" opened becoming the first and only Ecuadorian restaurant in Des Moines. Owner Cesar Miranda (Ecuadorian) with more than fifteen years of experience in the restaurant business, accomplished his dream by bringing the aromas and flavors of his country to Des Moines. Mi Patria is my favorite place to eat of all times, All there food has it's own unique flavors and spices. Their food is prepared fresh and none of it is out of cans. The portions are generous and are even better the next day as leftovers.Once you go there you'll be hooked!
