About this business
In 2001 Metzger's re-opened at its current location on Zeeb Road. The restaurant seats 189 people inside and also offers outdoor seating in our Biergarten. We still serve the same great food in a European atmosphere and the family tradition is still alive and well. The current owner John Metzger works multiple nights a week and his parents Walter and Ruth still enjoy dining at the restaurant throughout the week.

Good beer great food and very nice people. Food was served promptly and hot.
Food was good but the service was very slow. Took awhile to get waited on and people who arrived after us got served first. I don't think it was the restaurant's fault but the waitress.
I have been going to Metzers for nearly 50 years and the service and quality of food has always been excellent. Never afraid to recommend Metzers.
I've been going to the restaurant for 30+ years. The food was excellent as always. I had the porkchops, which were probably the best porkchops ive ever had. My husband had the prime rib, which looked delicious. Of course, the dinner would not be complete without their spaetzen!
Love this place! I travel from Chesterfield to go here! Keep up the great work!!!
Overpriced. $90 for 2 adults, 2 kids and 2 beers!? Low quality meat. Not going back.
Our service, contrary to other reviewers, was great! There was however, great disappointment in the fact that the potato pancakes were not potato pancakes but more like a fried mashed potato cake. The kraut was very sour and nothing special.. My pork chops (which were enormous) actually tasted JUST like ham - didn't really want ham tho. I guess we were truly hoping for more.
This was our second visit and when we arrived we were told it was about a ten minute wait so we put our name on the list, got our buzzer, and proceeded to grab a drink in the bar. After about ten minutes as more people came there was another couple who arrived and went to the end of the bar. One of the tables left and the woman walks over and puts her purse and scarf on the dirty table and then goes up to the hostess who then proceeds to seat them and clear off the table.
