About this business
In 2001 Metzger's re-opened at its current location on Zeeb Road. The restaurant seats 189 people inside and also offers outdoor seating in our Biergarten. We still serve the same great food in a European atmosphere and the family tradition is still alive and well. The current owner John Metzger works multiple nights a week and his parents Walter and Ruth still enjoy dining at the restaurant throughout the week.

This is one of my new favorites! Great, authentic German fare served by some of the friendliest waitstaff ever. Tammy was super accommodating and service was timed perfectly. The Beer Cheese soup is a must try. The menu has all the German favorites like Schnitzel and Sauerbraten but also Hasenpfeffer and Liverwurst sandwiches. The only complaint I have is that they are not located in Fenton!

So good! And our waitress was AMAZING! Had the Jaeger chicken, red cabbage & German cucumber salad with the hot, mulled wine🍷. Tried some of my son's spaetzle with German gravy & German potato pancakes with sour cream & applesauce. The waitress brought out some of the saurbraten for us to try too. ALL WONDERFUL! Total comfort food, felt like home-made goodness in my tummy!😊👍👍👍⭐⭐⭐
