About this business
In 2001 Metzger's re-opened at its current location on Zeeb Road. The restaurant seats 189 people inside and also offers outdoor seating in our Biergarten. We still serve the same great food in a European atmosphere and the family tradition is still alive and well. The current owner John Metzger works multiple nights a week and his parents Walter and Ruth still enjoy dining at the restaurant throughout the week.

We try to stop every time we go to U&M CANCER CENTER.

Metzger's is always tops. We've been going there for decades, first in town and now out on the edge. Food is good, beer choices are good, service is wonderful. Our party of seven mixed birthday party went flawlessly and we all had a great time. Our cake was candled and presented with song after we all finished our dinners. Flawless.
i drive all the way from Detroit, get the chicken livers with spatzle and its just the best. I miss the spot downtown, but the westside is so gorgeous this time of year, the drive out the river is worth it.
