About this business
In 2001 Metzger's re-opened at its current location on Zeeb Road. The restaurant seats 189 people inside and also offers outdoor seating in our Biergarten. We still serve the same great food in a European atmosphere and the family tradition is still alive and well. The current owner John Metzger works multiple nights a week and his parents Walter and Ruth still enjoy dining at the restaurant throughout the week.

One of my favorite places for many years. Good food, good prices and relaxing setting. The Metzger family (now represented by John Metzger) has kept its high standards and makes diners feel like family.
The meal started with yummy Smoked Trout, that and the Angry Orchard were the highlights. The Wiener schnitzel was not so good. The GERMAN SAUERBRATEN not so good. The potatoes, average. The desert - Apple strudel, the home country would be embarrassed by such a tiny portion. Overall, now that I'm writing this - and it was my birthday meal, I should probably rate it a 1. It will keep us from going back most likely. What's with the Schnitzel anyway - it looked all puffy?
First time ever at this Resturant. The food was incredible, portions beyond what was expected. The wait was resonable. Best part it was my Hunnie's Birthday tgey informed us everything was half price. What a wonderful experience. Thanks
Had a great dinner. The food was delicious and the waitress was very good. The portions were large so we had to take half of them home. But we still had room for desert. Apple strudel with ice cream was incredible.
Bar none, one of my very favorite restaurants!! I'm not able to review menu items as I only order the sauerbraten every single time. Don't even look at the menu. Been going to this place for 40+ years. Missed it so much when it closed for a period.
