About this business
In 2001 Metzger's re-opened at its current location on Zeeb Road. The restaurant seats 189 people inside and also offers outdoor seating in our Biergarten. We still serve the same great food in a European atmosphere and the family tradition is still alive and well. The current owner John Metzger works multiple nights a week and his parents Walter and Ruth still enjoy dining at the restaurant throughout the week.

I liked it, my son loved it! We went for his birthday, and its a heck of meal for a heck of a deal! Service was great also!
Went there on a Wednesday evening about 5:30. Seated right away. The waitress didn't have much to say to us, but she got the job done. Beef stew was good, breaded veal was great. Potato pancakes were too thick for my liking. Spatzle would have been good if all of it was cooked. The carrot cake was great. I'll be going back. The beer sure looked good.

Always such a treat to eat at Metzgers restaurant. My cabbage rolls were excellent. My husband loved his pork chops as did our friend with his prime rib. Delicious. Their hot wine was a nice surprise on a freezing night. Our waitress was on top of everything always willing to refill our drinks. We also sat there and chatted comfortably not being rushed out.
Outstanding as usual. Been going here for years. Took my parents there yesterday for my fathers 87th birthday. He was treated like a king ! Food was wonderful. Sunday roast chicken with all the trimmings. Beer was delicious too. Our server, Betsie, was awesome. She went above and beyond to make our meal unforgettable. Five star all the way around!!
My wife and I absolutely love this place. Every time we go service and food are great. I would highly recommend!
