When Cedar Rapids needed hospital beds in 1900, the Sisters of Mercy established Mercy Hospital in a small house on Third Avenue and Sixth Street Southeast. The 15-bed house was soon too small, so the Sisters of Mercy looked for money and a site to build a larger hospital. They went from parish to parish and to nearby towns. Find a Doc number never respond and never return back to my voice messages. I have called 4 or 5 different days and left message for last one mounth but they never return back to my calls. Also, I filled form on the internet but there was also no response.

I just had the most horrible and evil treatment at Mercy. Although face shields have been considered satisfactory at every other hospital and doctor office I've been to, I was told at Mercy that I can no longer have treatments or tests done there if I'm not willing/able to wear a mask. I explained that I cannot wear a mask without my nausea bringing on dry heaves and vomiting due to my health issues. My wife and I recently welcomed our first child at Mercy and could not have asked for a better experience! Everyone from doctors to nurses were extremely caring, attentive, and personable. Hands down recommend their birthplace to anyone and everyone!
I am here on the 7th floor for therapy after my stroke. All of the therapists and nurses have been amazing with their care and attention to getting me back to normal. I highly recommend coming here for any of your healthcare needs.
Mercy Hospital has valves to care for the sick and enhance the healing by The Sisters of Mercy unlike St Luke's mosy has good people caring compassionate Tim Charles does a good job and the sisters running the hospital amen
Mercy gastroenterology- my mom was sent to the 3rd floor of the cancer center by someone working at one of the entrances, by the time she finally got to the correct place, Gastro clinic she was 15 minutes late and they refused to see her. Very cold staff, including the manager I spoke with. The lack of care and compassion is heartbreaking.
