We are a small company with multiple sites in two sites. We moved one of our office locations and upgraded to new Polycom phone sets at both sites. The sales, project management and technical staff at MegaPath helped us to find the best service and equipment solution for interfacing with the building infrastructure and worked with the building owner's IT department located in Italy. In the end, MegaPath came through for us.
I have been a partner with MegaPath for a long time and I have to say that they are by far the worst SIP provider I have seen. Customer service is terrible. Sites phone service will be down for hours and no one gives any escalation to it. Refuse to work with partner that are the ones that are growing their business. Stay away!!!
After moving into our new location our old company had delayed our port and MegaPath set up temp numbers to forward and sent 3g hotshots so our office could function due to a speed issue with the dsl line. These people bent over backwards to make sure our business was not interrupted. Ended up putting a T-1 line and that went so smooth. Only once did we have an issue but their tech was here with in 2 hours to reset the system and they forwarded all calls to our cell phones. Megapath did what Comcast couldn't do and I now have a cable internet system for my office. My neighbor has AT&T and is continually having to complain about flaky service and slow internet service so I let him see ours and he's now trying to switch contracts. Thanks guys.
Unfortunately, we did not select them when looking for some services a while back, but nonetheless the pre-sales experience then was great. Since then though, I've been trying to give them business for two more clients / projects, but my sales rep apparently is "punishing" me as he will no longer return phone calls or emails. Any time a sales rep treats a potential customer like he is "owed" something, that's a pretty major red flag. If I was asked to do a review about a year ago, I would have written a very terrible one as I had the absolutely worst experience with MegaPath. Our service was just so horrible and getting anyone to resolve it took countless calls, being transferred to new reps who didn't know our history or sales rep to try and up sell us to a new system. We have numerous dropped (very important) conference calls and our employees were having to use their cellphones to get clear reception. We've had issues with our dsl service for the internet, but when ever we called Megapath, they were quick to respond and made a good effort to get the problem resolved. They worked well with other providers(ATandT) to isolate the problems and get them resolved. Provided new options for alternative types of service and we are currently getting a new T1 line installed.
Daniel Ponsay is an excellent person to work with. Very understanding and technically adept. He guided me ably and was always ready to make helpful suggestions. It was a real pleasure to work with him. The services pertaining to the internet were greatly improved by his actions. Joseph Cockrell
