Fraudulent bussiness, they partake in several illegal bussiness practices and then charge the customer more money when the customer gives up on trying to recieve the products they paid for. Very terrible company. Cheating auto renewal policy. Called before contract expire, rep told me can cancel service any time without penalty. When time comes to cancel, they told me need to pay early termination fee. Totally scam.
I'm not one to complain, because I know that there are 2 sides to every story but I swear this is out of hand with this company. Trying to get a hold of the collection department is like trying to walk on sun. Impossible! Just impossible. Each month they claim my business has a past due balance which NO ONE can tell where it came from. They say its this invoice number and I provide proof that was paid and the check cut date. I signed a 2 year contract in 2014 with MegaPath and am now being told by ****** that we are under contract until April of 2019 because our account is on auto renewal. I feel completely duped. This is in no way above board. If it were it would be stated upfront. Not just when customers try to leave. Consequently, I've asked ****** to point out at what time this became standard practice (since it was not a part of the original contract I signed in 2014 with Megapath) and when I “agreed” to it. Terrible company! Started with them in October of 2014 and they kept auto-renewing our service every year without letting anyone know! Tried to cancel July of this year and they told me their auto yearly renewal locks customers into another full year of service and to call back in October to cancel- I called today, being that October isn't too far away and now they say the contract extends until December. Extremely shady contractual obligations! I am not impressed with the service either.
If I could give ZERO stars, I would. We don't have thousands of employees, but that doesn't make our needs any less important. I expect on-point service and support. And Megapath consistently drops the ball. We have used Megapath for ethernet Internet connectivity in one of our offices for many years. MegaPath has escalated this case with our provisioning department and upper management to ensure this matter is expedited and that the client concerns about communication and incorrect information being provided is addressed immediately. Additionally MegaPath will be contacting Sales management to ensure that the representative who provided incorrect information is corrected immediately to ensure this does not occur again. I feel a little foolish for not checking out the reviews before even making contact with Megapath for now I am having an issue with them which could of been avoided should I have known this company is this shady and unethical. I requested that I get 10 sip trunks, totaling $20 per line monthly. My account wasn't setup till way after I signed an agreement with them because the agents dragged out the account setup process. Megapath has a lot to learn about customer service and care ONLY about getting in your pocket, and if you don't agree, they will shut your phone off. Theyre the phone mafia. They charged me full retail price for broken phones and would NOT do waive or lowering the price. Pls. feel free to email me anytime at richs@fitnessfactorygym.com for a further explanation. Worst customer service ever! Hung up on me so I would call back, tech was rude and VERY unprofessional.
