STAY AWAY. Worst customer service in the industry. I have tried downgrading my service for almost 4 months and they still havent done it. They will give you the runaround until the next bill.
Megapath is a pretty awfull ISP. Not only did it take 90 days to get install. The connection horrible, constant dropped packets, high ping latency. Tech support never had any real answers for the problem. There only answer was to reset the router. That's something you have to do at your home, not on a production T1 line. We also had a situation where we had a total outage, requested Megapath to contact us when the outage was resolved. We never received a phone call.
DO NOT GET INVOLVED WITH MEGAPATH!!!! THEY HAVE THE WORST SERVICE!!! I was with Covad/ Megapath for nearly 10 year. During this time, customer service became the worst service in the industry. I do not have telephone or internet for one week. They sent me a repairmen and he told me that they could have solved the problem 5 days ago. They are totally incompetent! They cannot tell you the truth, because they do not know anything about their job. They cause more damage to you than you can imagine! ZERO STAR!!!
Megapath has the worst customer service. The is no follow up on orders and they are constantly delaying and giving the runaround. I would highly recommend an alternative if you have one.
Bad Bad customer service, no returned phone calls. They canceled the service before it began without even a email to say why. Repeated attempts to reach the Senior Sales Engineer failed, no return calls. They are about as helpful as a life jacket filled with ROCKS! RUN as FAST as you can! Guess I'm one of the lucky ones.
We have had A Plus/Covad/Megapath 768/768 sDSL service for about eleven years. About eight years ago we had one problem and the support experience was exemplary. Fast forward. We started having some latency issues early in Sep. 2012. On Sep. 12 service became bad enough that it is virtually unusable. 30-50 percent packet loss and average ping time in the 1200ms range. I have utilized MegaPath for 'Hard to Reach' areas needing T1 service. At first all was positive. They have very competitive pricing and the sales team is receptive and well spoken. However, the happiness stops there. As I have read in some other reviews.. I found a similar nightmare in transition from sales to install. My T1 install took approximatley 90 days. We have used MegaPath T1 DUET (Voice & Data) for over a year now with decent success. We're growing and adding more services to our T1. Their pricing was unbeatable. They were *significantly* cheaper than anyone else we looked at. Unfortunately, the transition from Sales to the actual project implementation was not smooth at all. My company has used them for years. I have been working with them for 1.5 yrs. Tech Support services are poor. Problem is always on my end, even when I can show the line dropping 10+ %. They did not even know how to access the router they installed.
