I have had good experiences here at MLR and bad ones. My husband's recent stay was fair. My husband said as soon as his nurse realized that his sister worked in OR she got really nice and attentive. Always have had wonderful experiences with the surgical staff. Dr. Benitez, and Dr. Nunnally are super!
This hospital is the most disgusting hospital I e ever been in, the staff is rude the care is unthinkable, I can't imagine why the state doesn't step in. My mother has been there 5 days has not had a shower or washed up leaves here setting in soaking wet depends, you complain to the staff and they look at you like so what. The food is cold every time it is brought to her. I will be filing a complaint with the state
I had my youngest there in 2009 and had a tubal ligation 3 months later. My dr,nurses,and the entire OR staff and staff of the birthing center are wonderful. Have had to take my kids and myself to the ER and have never been there longer than 2 hours start to finish.
My daughter was born at McLaren Lapeer Region last year and their birthing center is the best!!! All the nurses were awesome! They took care of me and my daughter! Highly recommend the birthing center!!!
If you have a choice don't go to Lapeer Regional Hospital. The care is sub-par in the emergency department. Had to wait 20 minutes in a empty waiting room with to get seen by a nurse. The doctor treated me like I was a drug addict and refused to write a prescription for pain medication. I guess that's what you get when your doctor looks like Jim Henson's brother.
Another ridiculous trip to McLaren ER with inattentive and incompetent staff. Furious.
I would assume most of these reviews are by employees since I've never met anyone in Lapeer that would recommend this hospital to anyone. This hospital is just a pit stop on the way to the morgue.
