The MAT has been an Uptown hotspot for over a decade. In 2009, it was bought by Kidd Kraddick Morning Show co-host Big Al Mack. Come hang with Al at The MAT! Great Food. My family came in on Christmas evening the atmosphere is nice but the waiter forgot to put our order in. For a group of four we have been waiting almost an hour. When asked what the problem is how did this happen our waiter just replied " so are you going to cancel your order"?? No apologies just a total disregard for the customers. I understand it is Christmas but that is no excuse for waiting this long for wings and burgers.
Loved the place !! The atmosphere was great. bartenders where on point with drinks and of course the host with the most Big Al Mac !! The only bad thing I can say was who ever the karaoke Dj was very rude and when asked why we where getting skipped she said " I don't know ? But for $20.00 you can be next !!" Wow !!! But No worries cause Big Al fixed the issue even though she acted like 4 yr old about it when Big Al was talking to her. Any ways great bar loved it and will go back soon !!!
Great place to have a good drink, good food and great service!!!!! Atmosphere is fun and casual, I would love to come back at watch a football game on one of their many big screens!!!!! Thanks to the staff for taking such good care if us!!!
The food is great, the server was phenomenal. I had a blast here catching up with family and new friends. I highly recommend it to all who visit Dallas. Thumbs up!

Met Big Al as soon as I walked in the door (which I did not expect). Drinks were good and pizza was a bit spicy but delicious nonetheless. Really enjoyed the humble atmosphere and overall theme.
