The MAT has been an Uptown hotspot for over a decade. In 2009, it was bought by Kidd Kraddick Morning Show co-host Big Al Mack. Come hang with Al at The MAT! Great Food. Crowded bar atmosphere!!! Drink & Food service Sucks!!! Been waiting 1 1/2hrs and still no food!!! One cook for the whole place, Check please!!!
Had an awesome time on Valentine's night at the MAT! Great food and awesome service. I hated that Big Al wasn't there. Karaoke night was so much fun! Prices are very competitive from other bars on McKinney Avenue. Of all the bars we visited, MAT was the funnest!

Big Al's was open Christmas Day with Big Al pitching in, helping his staff, & pouring brews. He was very nice. Great place with food & drink specials daily.

Is it normal business practice for the owner to tell a women he is going to throw her in front of the trolley?
Once again bad service at the MAT.... Staff ignores you while on the phone in the bathroom.... Oh well.... AL's no better.
