The MAT has been an Uptown hotspot for over a decade. In 2009, it was bought by Kidd Kraddick Morning Show co-host Big Al Mack. Come hang with Al at The MAT! Great Food. Only the best place to party have fun and not spend alot. Close to home take the train to the trolley and the trolley drops you off right in front of the tavern. It's in a great area to see other things and just chill. But of course the best part is seeing big Al Mac and anticipating the zany antics he has going on weekly.

My first time at Big Al's Bar and I loved it! Walked in and surprisingly it was almost empty but then the crowd started coming shortly after. Our waitress Nikki was WONDERFUL and super nice! She let us know that the drink menu was not up to date but she told us everything that was on tap and she even let me sample! Most of the Drinks on Tap are Not Available! Not an updated Beer list, yet they Advertise it. Food was alright, place was a little dirty...
I grew up at my Grandfather "Big Al's Seafood Market" in St Michaels, MD. Big Al of Dallas, Texas is a great guy and has an awesome place. Delicious food and great hospitality. Must go there if you are in the big D.
I think that is so cool u give away trips for the winner of karaoke, I can't sing so I will never win, I heard the atmosphere is awesome. And a cool place to hang out.
