My dad was diagnosed with prostate cancer. Dr. Spaliviero articulately explained all the options for treatment. We decided to proceed with a Prostatectomy. He performed the surgery successfully. I also have to commend him and his team for the outstanding post-operative care they provided. He visited my father every day in the hospital post-surgery to monitor his recovery. Having an intelligent and poised surgeon is imperative. He exceeds this criteria. Thank you so much Dr. Spaliviero! God bless

From a thorough and careful diagnosis, to a patient and careful discussion of all options,and then through the surgical and post surgical care, Dr. Spaliviero has been excellent. I have always been able to reach the Doc with questions and concerns. Of coarse, the ultimate result of a successful surgery and better health than I have had in years is the best recommendation. The best, not just one of the best but Thee Best. Dr. Massimiliano Spaliviero made me feel very comfortable, like family. He sat in a chair right next to me like a good friend would. He outlined all my options including procedures that may have moved me out of Stony Brook to a different hospital. Docs a dream Surgeon right out of a fairy tale story that's come to life, I couldn't emphasize this more. Everyone of the Docs associates did great too, I'd have given 10 stars but it wasn't an option.
I don't normally right reviews but after my experience with Dr.Spaliviero and his staff i felt I had to. it isn't easy to find a physician that you can trust with your life in his hands. Dr. Spaliviero's thoroughness and expertise was outstanding in my opinion (I'm sure I speak for others too). I'd recommend him to relatives And friends. His staff is friendly and warm. After not being able to figure out how to treat my 88 year old mom he basically gave up on her and no longer wanted to be bothered she had reacurring UTIs very rude and really could care less about her condition
