Dr. Spaliviero was comforting and professional. For year, I dreaded the thought of a biopsy on my prostate. He and his wonderful nurse Laura Massimiliano reduced my anxiety before and during the procedure.
Dr. Spaliviero has been my urologist for the past several years. You could not ask for a BETTER doctor. Last year I had the TURP procedure done.....no problem. he takes time to explain everything, answers all your questions and has a staff that's 5 stars. When it comes to urology you don't want an AMATEUR fooling around down there. Go see DR spaliviero..................HE'LL GET YOU PLUMBIN..... HUMMIN.
Not only is Dr. Spaliviero a wonderful, skilled surgeon, but a kind and compassionate one as well to not only the patient but to the entire family. I recently had a long difficult bladder surgery and I truly feel he saved my life. I give him the highest recommendation any surgeon can get for the way I was treated by him and his team.
I went for a prostate biopsy shortly after hospitals reopened for elective surgeries. I was hesitant for a number of reasons. The nurses at Stony Brook were wonderful and Dr Spaliviero made the procedure as comfortable as possible. I would certainly recommend Dr Spaliviero.
I was diagnosed with Prostate Cancer 5 years ago. I underwent cyberknife radiation treatment at Winthrop and followed with a urologist located in Nassau County. I live in Suffolk and switched to Dr. Spaliviero of Stony Brook based upon a recommendation from the Cyberknife team. I cannot express how happy I am that I am under his care. I would like to recommend Dr. Spaliviero without hesitation. Feeling very nervous about a procedure that I was in need of, Dr. Spaliviero explained everything and patiently answered all of my questions. He made me feel completely at ease and confident that I was in good hands. And I was. My procedure went smoothly and was completely painless; I was thoroughly impressed with his knowledge and significant skill. I highly recommend Dr. Spaliviero.
It’s been approximately 5 weeks since visiting the Stonybrook cancer center and having my prostate screening by Dr. Spaliviero. I can’t say enough about the excellent care that was provided by Dr. Spaliviero and his fantastic support staff. I only wish I had decided two years ago when it was first recommended that I go for the screening. It wasn’t at all what I expected as far as the pain level to have it done. Thanks again to Dr. Spaliviero and staff nurses.
Doctor Spaliviero I think does everything possible to minimize patient discomfort during prostate biopsy procedure. There is no excuse to not have this procedure done if you are in Doctor Spaliviero's care.
My second prostate biopsy in just over two years performed by Dr. Spaliviero, uncomfortable but not painful, very efficient and very comforting. If the procedure is necessary, it is well tolerated and the patient is in very good hands.
