Dr Spaliviero is a caring, honest, thorough and able practitioner. He has always answered all queries and concerns. He encouraged checking into all possibilities of treatment and second opinions. He is compassionate and thoughtful. I feel very lucky to have had his guidance and am thrilled that I decided to have him do my surgery. I would recommend him without hesitation!
Dr. Spaliviero was recommended to me by the Stony Brook Hospital staff in East Setauket. I am so lucky to have found such a great, caring Urology doctor. He has served my issues with prostrate cancer very well and i am now cancer free, thanks to this doctor.
9/17/22 Dr Spaliviero did a Turp procedure on my prostate. While I was quite anxious before meeting the Dr., he put my mind at ease. He performed the surgery with virtually no pain, and it worked perfectly. There was almost no blood. It was all done to perfection. At age 80 he is one of the very best. In fact, he is the best.
Prostate Cancer Screening. Dr was easy to talk to, and very clear throughout screening and biopsy process at the SB Cancer Center. Only downside was a surprise $3000 bill since the lab that performed the biopsy was out of network. Good lesson....be sure to ask if all providers are in network. NYSHIP policy holders should be prepared.
Nurse was extremely helpful and walked me through the prostate biopsy procedure. Dr was also clear as to what to expect during and after.
Dr mass and staff explained the full procedure and what to expect afterwards.Honestly the procedure was performed quicker and with no pain at all.I feel it went so smooth because of Doctor Spaliviero's experience and skill.Will recommend this team to my friends in future.
Dr. Spaliviero did a great job. He explained to me my diagnosis and what would have to be done . This was very scary for me but he took the time to explain all that had to be done and what to expect when I woke from surgery The office visit was good as well, letting my daughter listen in on the phone since the virus kept people out of the office. Dr. Spaliviero delivers the right balance between professionalism and a caring bedside manner. For those who like information, Dr Spalivero explained the procedure in detail, the risks and the rationale to proceed. He was willing to meet an additional time to clarify any questions i had, which i greatly appreciated. Dr. Spaliviero and his staff are fantastic. Everything was throughly explained, and they provided us with all the information necessary to make the decision regarding my surgery. My visits with him were never rushed and he made me feel comfortable that I was in good hands. During my stay in the hospital, Dr. Spalivero kept my family abreast as to what was going on and was very sympathetic towards my family. He has an excellent bedside manner and cares for you as if you were family.
