First of all the facilities are second to none, beautiful and spotless. From the registration desk support personnel to Dr. Spaliviero, I would not want anyone else, all were pleasant and informative. Dr. Spa's nurse was the best; polite, informative, professional, and highly knowledgeable from beginning to end. Dr. Spa. was even better and the procedure was simple, painless, and much better than what I expected. There is nothing to be afraid of and could not recommend a better place to have this or other procedures done.
Dr. Spaliviero is the perfect balance between skilled professionalism and personal caring. He explained the procedure being considered and all possible contingencies in a clear manner and answered all questions. In addition, he kept my family in the loop which put me very much at ease. I appreciated his laid back professional manner. Dr. Spaliviero is a definite asset to the Urology department at Stony Brook University Hospital, and it was my pleasure to have been his patient.
Dr S and all his people were informative and sympathetic . they provided me with all the information I need to make my choices about my health care.My visits with him were unrushed and reassuring .Great bedside manner .
I was Dr. Spaliviero's patient for a fusion biopsy. I was told to to expect a small bit of a pinch when the lidocaine was introduced to my prostate. I felt NOTHING AT ALL!!! The only "pressure discomfort" but NOT pain was having the probe in my rectum. If you are afraid to get this procedure because of pain, PLEASE, DON'T HESITATE! GET THE WORK DONE, IT COULD SAVE YOUR LIFE! Dr. Spaliviero and the staff Stony Brook Hospital, (I was cared for by Julie and Rita), were WONDERFUL to me!

Dr. Spaliviero was very comfortable to be with from the first meeting to discuss my up coming surgery. On September 21, 2020 Dr. Spaliviero performed a Bi Lateral Adrenalectomy. Removing both Adrenal glands and the cancerous tumors found in them. The surgery went well considering that this is a rare surgery and I am 72 years old. I did run into a problem when my bowels fell asleep and I was very bloated. I finally vomited and had a siphon drain put down into my stomach to remove the bile. Finally relief. Dr. Spaliviero is a wonderful doctor. He's caring, sensitive and truthful with excellent bedside manors. He stays up on the latest advancements. I trust him totally. His staff is excellent too. They are very helpful, prompted and courteous. I'm doing great after my surgery. I emphatically recommend Dr. Spaliviero.
Great Staff and Dr. M. Spaliviero is such a professional. I have gone to at least 2 other Urologists over the span of 15 years and none compare to this Dr. and his office personnel. He was courteous, informative and professional. I never felt rushed and never felt insignificant as a patient. I highly recommend this practice. I feel secure and confident that Dr. Spaliviero as my urologist and is on the cutting edge of the latest technology.
Dr. Massimiliano Spaliviero and nurse Kim were professional and friendly. Care received was excellent! Past experiences were all excellent. I did not see a survey but if I had all responses would be "Greatly exceeded expectations.
