Dr. Schultzel might be my favorite doctor ever! My original surgeon decided he no longer wanted to concern himself with my dislocation/subtalar break case after I was released from the hospital. Dr. Schultzel agreed to take me on as a patient and I am so happy he did! He treated me with compassion and provided excellent care while taking on the challenge of another surgeon's work. From my first day of meeting Dr. Schultzel to my last day of Physical Therapy, this has been a very positive and professional experience. I cannot say enough good things about this doctor.
I don't even know where to start with Dr. Schultzel. I broke my humerus in three places in December 2019. I was in pretty rough shape when I went to his office the day after my fall, I could barely function. He welcomed me with open arms and gave me my options on how to proceed down this LONG, painful road. Greetings, Doctor Mark Schultzel: "Long story short" saved my life. When it come down to it, and things were tough-he was there. The amount of stress that he can out do speaks for the love for what he does, instead any other reason. Trough covid, December Christmas eve, 2020 all the reason to go home and be with his love ones, while my state insurance declined me on the day of surgery. -> He called the insurance company himself and went ahead with the procedure. Wonderful staff and office environment. Dr. Schultzel was a master "repair" man for my rotator cuff, and he is a wonderful, patient-centered communicator.
Came in with a distal tendon tear off bone. I’m going to keep it short and sweet ; truly that’s what it was. Considering the circumstances. First off I can’t stand insurance. Wow, it worked out though. Dr. Schultzel was in my network and man was I lucky. I came in and he literally cut me the following week. I was surfing four months later.
