As an athlete and active individual, I was dismayed by the sharp pain and limited mobility in my shoulder. I was fortunate to have an appointment with Dr. Mark Schultzel. Dr. Schultzel is the absolute best MD I have ever seen, he did my rotator cuff surgery and I am pain free, lifting light weights. I would highly recommend him, he explained everything prior to surgery and is thoughtful in his answers, knowledgeable and kind.
I have have seen Dr. Schultzel several times for shoulder pain. In all cases he has made a quick, accurate diagnosis and given effective treatment. Dr. Schultzel also has a positive, confident demeanor that put me at ease and made my visits very pleasant.
Dr Schultzel performed carpal tunnel surgery on my right hand after about 65 years of doing needlework. Immediately I felt comfortable with him and had all the confidence in his abilities. He did an excellent job and I even congratulated him on his needlework skills when he removed my stitches. We had a good laugh over that. I would definitely recommend him if you were looking for an excellent orthopedic surgeon.
Dr. Schultzel repaired my right rotator cuff in June (I had torn two of the four muscles completely). It is now late September and I have been released to return to most of my pre-injury activities. Dr. Schultzel was thoroughly engaged throughout the process of diagnosis, surgery and post-op care. I highly recommend him to anyone needing elbow or shoulder treatment and/or surgery.
