Specialties We serve Angeleno style Mexican food in a lively atmosphere. We make all of our food and cocktails by hand, with fresh ingredients. We are one of the few restaurants that welcomes large parties. History Established in 2003. We are the antidote all the "big plate" Mexican restaurants in town. And a step up from the taco trucks, with a nice place inside to sit down and enjoy a cocktail with a few friends.

I was here on Friday night for a buddy?s b-day party. It was okay, the atmosphere was nice and the service was satisfactory. Beware to spend money at this place!! I was shocked to find out that you have to pay extra for chips and salsa, isn?t that complementary at Mexican places usually??? Pricey A la Carte style menu. Tasty food but a tad pricey and margaritas could have been a better value. – Went to Malo on a Friday night looking to score...some err, exceptional margaritas and something to eat. Great Customer Service! – This IS the place to go on a first date! The hostess Nicole treated us like celeb's and was very converstaional and helpful. Then when we came back weeks later Nicole rememberd us and gave us the same table again! The food is great! The prices are very low for what you get. This is a very impressive and hip spot. You'll feel like an insider for going here.
Yummy, Mellow Eats – Best potato tacos & chicken/pork--my friends argue that the pickle beef are better. It's an ongoing fight. They also have great mojitos & a great happy hour at the bar. Their salsas are great also but super spicy in a cold burn sort of way. Best salsas. Nice mellow atmosphere.
This is Real Mexican Food – Malo has the best authentic Mexican food. You can taste the love that went into the food with its authenticity. When you are there you have to order the beef and pickle taco....it's Great. They have a vast selection of drinks that you will want to take your time before you order your usual, becuase going to Malo you don't want to be usual. When it gets busy the service can be a little slow, but nothing to really complain about. It's fun being there and would want to go back again and again.
Best meal in Los Angeles = Shrimp Diablo!! – I love this restaurant!! Everything on the menu is good, and I love the ambiance. Pickles and Tacos, Yummy!!! – Sounds weird but the combo is delicious! You get two tacos for $5.50, can you imagine! It is so delicious and their salsa are the best. Malo lives up to its name!!! – Hello, When my friends and I made reservations for Malo on a Friday night, we were totally excited to try it. So we get there and check in for our table and so the nightmare begins. First we are told by the hostess 'So like, you only have an hour at your table. Terrible and overpriced food. Avoid Malo. – My fiance and I ate at Malo last night. We made a poor choice. The food could not have been more bland. It contained no spice. The salsa, which we paid for as chips and salsa are not complimentary, was flavorless and tasted like tomato paste. I had the fish tacos which consisted of a shell, shredded cabbage and fish.
