Fantastic Tacos I had Malo's tacos last night and absolutely loved them. The margaritas were top notch too. We sat on the patio with a large group and were very please with the service, atmosphere and food. The fried tacos were all just like my mother used to make. The margaritas were also very fresh and clean. I loved it

Holy Guacamole! I have been hearing 'Good' things about Malo (which in Spanish means BAD?!) for quite some time now. Since I LOVE gourmet Mexican food and Guacamole, I thought I would stop in and have a bite. I was pleasantly surprised by the festive and mod atmopshere, and good downtempo music being piped through some wall mounted speakers. Apparently Malo is known for their assortment of gourment Gucamole, mixed and flavored with a variety of Tomatillo, Habaneros and other mexican spicyness. I opted for the Tomatillo Guaca... read more

You drink tequila here. This is why you come. Don't be a fool. Malo offers a full bar of top=notch tequilas, mexican beers and a tasty fruit drenched sangria. Chase your booze with some (really incredible) chips and assortment of salsas. They have a very limited menu but it is a super fun and swank place to start off an evening.

Largest Tequila selection on the planet Holly cow, more tequila than you can shake a worm at. Even some "small village" hand crafted mescal's, atlhough they sounded better than they tasted. Go for the booze stay for the food. Great pork adobo, carne asada, fresh fresh chips, and slasa. Get them to bring you a variety to share. PROS: Tequila, Tequila, Tequila. Oh and some good food too CONS:

I give this place one star off because it's a little on the pricey side for what amounts to Mexican food. However, love their Coke carnitas and dill pickle/ground beef hardshell tacos. (Greasy, but oh-so good... I make my own tacos at home now with dill pickles because they got me hooked!) Nice patio on hot summer nights to chill on with a margarita or cerveza. Family-friendly, and they have surprisingly awesome brunch.

I'm hesitant to post this review lest other people catch on to this apparent secret - brunch at Malo. You can walk in at any time and score a table on the half full patio. It is fully shaded so comfortable on all but the hottest days. Be careful that oyu don't fill up on the fresh chips and homemade salsa because you want to save room for the carnitas and corn pancakes. Seriously, a corn pancake short stack with carnitas layered between topped with a gooey poached egg. That just happened.

The only one of its kind and remarkable taste that they can provide in here is truly one of the most satisfying and worthwhile thing that I have ever tasted in my life, closest to that home cooking that we all tend to miss.

Chewy chips and habanero cream salsa are an awesome combo. They have a nice variety of margaritas and the beef tacos fried with pickle are killer too.

A hidden gem in Silverlake. I had the carne asada plate and a side of the chips with haberno salsa. Everything was really good. Will be back to try some of the other menu items and also the bar crowd that shows up later in the night. Hopefully, the girls are as good as the food :)
