On June 19,2017 I applied to refinance my home and to consolidate some debt. June 20 my credit card was charged with out my consent July 13 Appraisal was wrong July 24 my homeowners insurance was changed from currant holder to loan depot July 31 I am still waiting to be approved for loan Aug 1 I asked for a rejection letter- still waiting on this The loan estimate changed 3 different times with interest rates changing from a fixed locked in rate to a floating rate. Absolutely disgusting and deceitful. We were seeking to refinance our home. Was told the value was MUCH higher than I already knew it was. Told the representative that he had the value over 100,000 more than what I knew houses were selling for in our area. He quoted some values of homes and insisted that our house value was equitable. I then paid the $500.00 appraisal fee (which we were guaranteed to get back at the closing of the loan). Five star company and our agent was the very best we have ever worked with! We have a very difficult time financing because we have our own own business and also have several investment properties so if any of you have this situation you KNOW how hard it can be. Watch out! Rea search well before you get involved! I am a teacher who spends a lot of money on my classroom, therefore i am using more than 90% of my credit card allowances. I've been working with a guy named Jordan with Loandepot.com to refinance my mortgage and consolidate my personal loans. Jordan has been helpful. The manager assigned to my account was named Jennifer and she is beyond disrespectful.... She wouldn't listen to a word I said and talked over me like I was nothing. She had NO skills in what she was sapose to be doing. She couldn't even figure out how to use a tax map key. She didn't even know what it was... We decided to refinance and consolidate some debt to make our payments less and start to save some money. After 500$ and months of contact our appraisal came back way low. The appraiser went to zillow and read what it said about our house and property instead of actually walking it and measuring it. Walked in, took pictures and walked back out-was there not even 10 minutes total. So needless to say our loan did not go through.
