Loandepot did not clear our loan to close within the 60 day lock period and then charged us over $2000 to extend the rate lock.
Fast, easy experience with a great interest rate. Knowledgable Loan officer and processor. Would recommend to everyone.

Loan Officer promised low closing costs. Costs ended up being 3x ($4,000) more what was "promised". Said the lower cost would show up after a manager applied a "discount" to the costs, which never happened. Closing Cost statement was constantly changed and wrong to this day. Funded the loan without correcting any Closing Cost mistakes and reduced amount funded. Customer Service is non-existent. Never told the truth and promised to correct misstatements, but never follow through. Better to go through a reputable mortgage bank... read more

Great communication and very convenient. I really liked the gentleman who helped us and if we refinance in the future we will use them again. The process was WAY more simple then the last time.
We refinanced two loans with them and it was a very smooth process with excellent rates compared to what our current (now former) lender offered. Communication was excellent and the closer came to my house for all the required in person signatures.
Got gret rate on my refinance and smooth experience overall.
Very disappointed that after making a telephone inquiry, they sent an application without my requesting it. I left a message to tell them I would not be completing the application because we only wanted information. Soon thereafter, we received a letter of denial and this denial was reported to the credit agencies. This is a shady practice and it should be illegal.
One word... RECOMMENDABLE! From beginning to end everyone who was involved in my loan process was not only polite, but made sure I understood what was happening as the process was going along, especially the loan officer I was assigned David J. I had absolutely no problem getting any and all of my questions answered because he would almost always be available. When he wasn't, he would get back to me right away. NOW THAT'S SERVICE!
