Started a loan refinance in November and we just closed in April. I still have 12-15 closing disclosures all with different amounts due to borrower and amounts needing to pay at closing. They are horrible at responses and keeping you updated. Today I got a letter stating a new balance due even though the loan already closed!

If I could have give four and a half stars, I would have. My loan officer, James C** was phenomenal. If it were just him I would have given Loan Depot five stars. This was the second loan I have processed with Loan Depot, and except for a small hiccup at the end with their underwriter (who seemed like a complete idiot) it was great, just like the first loan. I will definitely be recommending James C** to everyone I know that is looking for a home loan or refinance.

Horrible communication! Very drawn out process, with no response to our emails or phone calls. While we finally signed on April 1st, as of the 23rd, some of our funds still haven’t been distributed. All with interest still accumulating. And yet, our first payment is due in one week.

Communication was excellent! Rates were competitive! Closing costs minimal! Be careful working with this company, especially if you already have a loan with them. In our case, we had a loan with them already, we had assets 10x the loan, over 800 credit scores, never missed a payment, plenty of income and STILL they declined our loan application! Primarily, because they would make less profit from us with a lower interest rate. They drug this out over a 4 month period, every two or three weeks they would ask for some more documentation.
