Started the refinance process on 2 houses, one of which i had with loan depot. The rep was involved at first, advising he could get deals done. They ran my credit, which is good, then communication stopped. He would not answer texts or emails. He did not get back with me when he said he would and the deals just lingered for weeks. Just when you think you closed and have a great loan with them, LoanDepot will call you back and make you refinance. They will tell you that they have a bad loan on the books that they have to get rid of. Now, I am being forced to refinance and pay more money when I just paid almost 7,000 for the loan I made with them not even a year ago.

Do not use this company!!! I think they got their license out of Cracker Jack box. Terrible communications. Started my journey with them back on November 11, 2020. Called in and got info on rates, etc. Was told this would be an easy loan to do and the rate was locked in at 2.5%. Submitted all required documents through their portal within a week. They kept sending me updates like they were working on my loan. I called in every few weeks to see how it was going but was only told they were working on it. After months of no fur... read more

Every person we had contact with in the processing of our refinance was efficient, professional, and made the process as easy as any home loan can be. I would not hesitate to do business with them again.

Absolutely the worst financial experience we ever had. It took more than five moths to close a simple refinance. If I could could give them zero stars, I would. Had we not received the rate and had already paid for the appraisal through them, we would have walked away. Communication is atrocious and until we threatened to leave the loan and eat the cash, they did virtually nothing. LoanDepot was the best refinance experience I’ve ever had. It took considerable longer because everyone was refinancing, but it was so worth. It was great not dealing with a bank’s process. LoanDepot’s team and website are outstanding. Highly recommend.

Horrible loan processing time, I was promised to get my loan refinance closed in 30 to 45 days. I understand due to recent low rates in market, loan depot folks were busy ! It took 121 days for them to get my loan closed after following up with them for approximately 43 times. The initial loan officer (Rohan S*****) was better at least he used to respond after sometime, whereas the Sr Account Manager(Makenna D***i) was horrible and not even once reached out proactively to update or check on my loan status and never picks her... read more
