Ever since I was young I had a love for science and the human body and I wanted to apply this passion to help people on a personal level. Becoming a doctor granted me the art of being able to connect with people while treating their disease and/or ailments. In conclusion, patient's concerns and preferences are always a priority in my mind on forming treatment plans and I feel this is an important part to maintaining the patient-to- physician relationship and key to treating disease.

As a previous patient of Dr. Secor, I wasn't able to met Dr. Alvarez. I was seen by Ashley Butler, PA, who was very kind and thorough going over my records and answering my questions in preparation for my coloscopy and endoscopy. that are currently on hold until information is received from my Cardiologist. And, whether or not I need to have these procedures done in the hospital.
I would definitely recommend Dr. Alvarez to family , friends, or anyone. She is an excellent Doctor and has excellent staff.
We got a great service for my 18 year old son. The office sent reminders via text message, verified if we went to get lab work, checked on the progress of submitting our lab work on time etc. Doctor Alvarez answered all questions, was patient and at the end of our virtual appointment, we felt that our needs were met. We look forward to our follow up appointment!
Dr Alvarez has always been approachable?, personable when I've met with her. On top of things for sure. I'd recommend her to anyone.

As soon as I arrived at Texas Presbyterian Hospital I was prepped for my Endoscopy and Colonoscopy. Dr. Alvarez found and corrected the problems I had been having.
