Ever since I was young I had a love for science and the human body and I wanted to apply this passion to help people on a personal level. Becoming a doctor granted me the art of being able to connect with people while treating their disease and/or ailments. In conclusion, patient's concerns and preferences are always a priority in my mind on forming treatment plans and I feel this is an important part to maintaining the patient-to- physician relationship and key to treating disease.

Dr. Alvarez is an amazing doctor. From day one, she listened, heard my concerns, cared about me and created a plan that would help me and my specific health needs. Her staff is amazing and I highly recommend this team. You won't be disappointed.
Dr Alvarez is always very personable and professional and a very good listener. I so like her comforting manner. She listened to my concerns and suggested a few options to try for my acid reflex. I decided on one option and agreed we would do a follow up to see how it is working for me. I highly recommend Dr Alvarez.

Dr Alvarez is a very good listener and a very thorough practitioner. I found my recent “telemed” visit very helpful. She helped guide me through some very difficult decisions that we all face these days because of Covid. I felt her response was very individualized and responsive to my personal situation.
Have been a patient of this practice since 1988. Primary gastroenterologist retired and had first televisit with Dr. Alvarez earlier this month. Very attentive and friendly. Look forward to her medical care going forward.
Took time to explain procedure, what to expect afterwards, and follow up
Dr Alverez listens and cares for her patients and takes into account all variables of what the patient says and her expert med opinion to determine the best course of action for each individual. JP
During this pandemic, my daughter was having some digestive issues so we made a phone appointment with Dr. Alvarez. She spoke to my daughter for 25 minutes and said she would call the next day for a follow up. She did not call back and a week later we get a bill from her for $356. $356 for a phone call that didn’t help my daughter at all. I’m frustrated, mad , and disappointed that a doctor can bill any amount they choose especially when they didn’t provide and help or service. I do not recommend this doctor. Dr. Alvarez is a skillful, highly competent physician, and I’m totally confident in relying on her to guide me in managing my chronic conditions. She listens carefully and is kind and compassionate. My appointments always provide ample time with her, and she discusses treatment ideas and options with me. Her staff is also great. My highest recommendation.
