Ever since I was young I had a love for science and the human body and I wanted to apply this passion to help people on a personal level. Becoming a doctor granted me the art of being able to connect with people while treating their disease and/or ailments. In conclusion, patient's concerns and preferences are always a priority in my mind on forming treatment plans and I feel this is an important part to maintaining the patient-to- physician relationship and key to treating disease.

I just recently had my Colonoscopy and an Endoscopy. Both were done with care and absolutely no post issues. I can’t think of anyone I would rather have as my gastroenterologist.
I am very grateful to have found Dr. Lisa Alvarez. After seeing many specialist over the years, she is by far the best. She takes her time to genuinely listen to my concerns and answers all my questions. Her bedside manner is incredible. I feel valued as a person when I attend my appointments with her. I feel confident that she will be able to give me a solid treatment plan based on the results of pending tests. Thank you Dr. Alvarez!

Was referred to Dr. Alvarez by my primary care physician and am very happy with her and her staff. The entire visit was excellent and really appreciated Dr. Alvarez’s thoroughness and insights. Dr Alvarez is very easy to talk to, she listens and comments and tells me exactly what she intends to do as far as treatments and tests that may be necessary. She has done colonoscopies for me in the past and always puts me at ease and is keeping me healthy. I would recommend her to everyone.
