I tried La’Wan’s last evening and everything, e-v-e-r-y-t-h-I-n-g was incredibly good! The atmosphere is very casual but the food and service are over-the-top great. Go here! Do not wait for a Panther’s game!
Inconsistent service and food quality. Came all the way from AZ to get a bite of soul food was so hyped up and was totally disappointed. This was a completely different experience from the first visit. Was not very welcoming only one hostess was friendly honestly and the other was monotoned, brief, distant and unwelcoming. Unfortunately, I will not be going back. I haven’t eaten here in years due to me moving and decided to eat here today and was disappointed. The Mac n cheese was very dry and the fried chicken had no flavor and was chewy. One of the waitresses that haven’t seen in years was there and she tried her hardest to keep me satisfied but after spending $14 on dry meat and Mac n cheese, there wasn’t much she could to help the situation. I hope you all consider changing the recipe on your fried chicken and Mac n cheese.

the fried chicken wings taste and look like they were cooked in old grease and over cooked and this is not the first time I have placed an order and they were like that.
We came down from hickory and was told about their chicken gizzards so we went in was greeted when we walked in and the gizzards are one of the best. When we were leaving my leg gave out on me and I fell they rebaged my gizzards and gave me another sweet tea which is also great tea and the young lady offered me a piece of cake which they had several different kinds and I told her no I was clumsy lol but hey you have to try them they are awesome from the front to the back thank you guys for my gizzards they are very good was ... read more
The staff was very friendly with greeting customers as they walked in. The place was clean and very organized. There were so many options.
